If you are a cocktail kind of girl (or guy) then you must visit the Orphanage Cocktail Emporium in Bree Street. Not only will you be in cocktail heaven with the wide selection of combinations on offer, there are also various food options that are ideal for sharing. International tourists rate this bar highly with an emphasis on the great ambience and the quirky ways that the drinks are served – so don’t miss out on this little gem!

In the mood for some Gin? Then look no further than the Woodstock Gin Company in Albert Street, Woodstock. Choose from the extensive locally inspired gin menu on offer which showcases uniquely South African hand-crafted gin. We recommend trying the “wine-based gin”, “beer-based gin” or the “High Tea gin”.

Fear not, we would never dare to leave out the best beer hub in the city. If you are looking for a night of beer and more beer, then Beerhouse is for you. You will be able to choose from a selection of 22 beers on tap and 99 bottled beers. There really is a beer for everyone at Beerhouse located in Long Street. Beerhouse also has a really delicious food menu that has been designed to perfectly pair with their extensive beer menu. The food options include traditional Caribbean dishes such as Goat Curry and Jamaican jerk chicken, as well as homemade burgers and pizzas. Just a heads up, the restaurant does not operate on a Monday so don’t plan a Monday visit to this little gem to avoid disappointment.

The Bungalow is a stylish restaurant and bar located in Clifton that gives guests the most beautiful ocean view when dining. Mediterranean and seafood dishes are the Bungalow’s specialities so we recommend that you try one of these dishes when dining here. There are however also meat options, burgers, and salads also available. There are a wide variety of drinks available including cocktails, wines and French champagnes. It really is an all season round must do!

The Blue Peter is nestled within walking distance to the beach with unparalleled views of Table Mountain and Robben Island. Expect pub-style food and to-die-for pizzas, burgers, ribs and salads, accompanied by a very fun atmosphere and electric buzz. You can enjoy your meal inside the restaurant or on the outside deck area – the choice is yours. There is also live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday so do not miss out on the exciting entertainment. We recommend enjoying sundowners on the deck and indulging in a selection of their famous pizzas.

Another keen local favourite is sundowners at News Café Table View. With lovely outdoor seating and stunning views of Table Mountain and the open ocean, you will enjoy some really delightful cocktails while soaking in the sunset. Look out for their daily half price cocktail specials between 5pm and 7pm. You will not regret it!
